Q1. Radmila, you’ve built a career at the intersection of fashion and music, two industries that are both intensely creative yet very different in their demands. How do you balance being both a fashion designer and a singer, and where do the two disciplines overlap in your life?

Balancing fashion and music has never felt like choosing between two worlds—it’s more like living inside one creative ecosystem. Both demand discipline, imagination, and storytelling. When I’m composing or singing, I’m building an emotional world; when I’m designing, I’m giving that world a physical form. They overlap constantly—I often see fabrics as sound and hear music in color and silhouette.

Q2. Many know you for your couture gowns that have graced red carpets and stages alike. What inspires your design process, and how do you infuse your music into your fashion collections—or vice versa?

My inspiration comes from life—my own journey, art, architecture, nature, and the stories I want to tell. A gown isn’t just fabric; it’s a stage in itself. Sometimes my music inspires a collection, like when a melody’s rhythm influences a design’s flow. Other times, a gown will spark the mood of a song. They’re in constant dialogue with one another.

Q3. Your performances often blend operatic vocals with contemporary sounds, creating a genre-bending experience. Can you talk about how you developed this unique musical identity?

I grew up immersed in opera, but I’ve always been fascinated by contemporary sounds. Bringing them together happened naturally—I wanted to make opera feel alive in today’s cultural language. My unique identity grew from that desire to bridge worlds: tradition with innovation, elegance with edge.

Q4. Philanthropy is a key part of your work. What causes are closest to your heart, and how do you use your platforms in fashion and music to support them?

Animals and wellness are closest to my heart—I’m a vegan and an advocate for animal rights. I also believe strongly in access to arts and education. My platforms in fashion and music allow me to raise awareness, create events, and inspire others to give back. Philanthropy isn’t a side project; it’s woven into everything I do.

Q5. You’ve showcased your collections and performed at prestigious venues. Is there a moment in your career so far that felt like a turning point—where you thought, yes, this is why I do what I do?

One moment that stands out was performing the National Anthem for the Miami Heat while wearing one of my own couture gowns. It was a perfect fusion of fashion, music, and community. That was when I thought, this is why I do what I do—to create moments where style and sound become one experience.

Q6. Miami has become a cultural hub where art, fashion, and music meet. As someone deeply connected to this community, what role do you see Miami playing in the global creative landscape, and how has the city influenced your artistry?

Miami is a living canvas of cultures, styles, and sounds. It’s vibrant, international, and unapologetically bold. The city has influenced me to be fearless with color, daring with design, and open to collaboration across genres. I see Miami as a bridge between North America, Latin America, and beyond—a global creative hub..

Q7. Both fashion and music are industries constantly evolving with technology, sustainability, and shifting cultural values. How do you see your work adapting to these changes over the next few years?

I embrace technology, sustainability, and shifting cultural values as opportunities. Whether it’s creating sustainable couture, integrating digital performance experiences, or exploring how AI reshapes art, I want my work to adapt while staying true to its soul. I believe the next era of creativity will be about authenticity meeting innovation.

Q8. Your gowns have been worn by high-profile figures, and your voice has captivated audiences worldwide. When people look back on your career, what do you hope they remember you for most?

I hope people remember me as someone who used art to connect worlds—fashion to music, tradition to modernity, individuality to community. More than gowns or notes, I want to be remembered for creating experiences that made people feel seen, inspired, and empowered.

Q9. For younger creatives in our community who dream of pursuing multiple disciplines the way you have, what advice would you give about staying authentic and resilient in the face of challenges?

My advice is simple: don’t be afraid of being different, and don’t let challenges define your path. Authenticity is your strongest currency, and resilience is your best armor. Learn from setbacks, but keep moving with courage. Your journey is your signature.

Q10. Looking ahead, can you share any upcoming projects—whether in music, fashion, or philanthropy—that you’re most excited about?

I’m very excited about my upcoming book, Life is a Bridge, and its expansion into a TV series and immersive live show. On the fashion side, I’m working on licensed collections that merge couture with sports culture. And in music, I’m preparing new performances that blend opera with unexpected settings. These projects all share one goal: to shape culture by connecting people through style and sound.
